Know what happens before advice, during implementation and after.

AMGENT’s process is designed to make the scope, responsibilities, assumptions, fees and next actions clear before personal recommendations begin.

Financial adviser explaining a plan
The AMGENT process

A five-step advice process with clear ownership at each stage.

The exact work depends on your circumstances. Complex matters can be staged so urgent issues are addressed first without losing sight of the wider plan.

1

Discovery and fit

Discuss why you are seeking advice, the decision in front of you and the people, assets or business interests affected by it.

2

Map the dependencies

Identify what else the decision touches, such as super, retirement income, tax, ownership, insurance, estate planning or family cash flow.

3

Agree scope, fees and specialist roles

Confirm what AMGENT will advise on, the agreed fee basis and what requires input from an accountant, lawyer, lender, medical professional or another specialist.

4

Develop and implement personal advice

Recommendations are based on your goals, financial situation, needs and the areas AMGENT is authorised to advise on. Agreed actions are then coordinated and implemented.

5

Review when the facts change

Revisit the plan when your business, family, health, retirement timetable, portfolio or relevant legislation changes materially.

Fees

How will I know what advice costs?

The advice scope and fee basis are discussed and agreed before personal advice work begins. Fees depend on the scope and complexity of the work; the current Financial Services Guide explains the fee types and ranges that may apply.

Specialists

Does AMGENT replace my accountant or lawyer?

No. AMGENT can coordinate the financial plan and identify when accounting, legal or other specialist advice is required. Each professional remains responsible for work within their own scope.

First meeting

What should I bring?

Start with the decision you are trying to make. If you have them, bring current super and investment statements, existing advice documents, insurance details and relevant business or estate documents.

Ready to start?

Bring one decision. We’ll map out what else it affects.
